Florence, July 12, 2017: Employee training in the name of solidarity: today a group of Menarini pharma employees took part in a training exercise by preparing 15,000 meals for countries currently in seriously critical situations.
This initiative is the fruit of a successful collaboration with the association Stop Hunger Now(Rise Against Hunger), a non-profit organization with the purpose of providing a tangible contribution to the fight against world hunger and to supporting children’s rights, with Dynamo Academy, a social enterprise that focusses on training in the context of social entrepreneurship, and with , a company specializing in human resource evaluation and development.
The training location was at the Tuscan campus of Dynamo Academy in Limestre (Pistoia).
A team of Menarini employees were busy for a full day putting together 15,000 meals that will allow one of the communities assisted by the association in Zimbabwe to host 50 new children for a full school year. Today's course was focused on developing and improving various skills such as organizational effectiveness, teamwork, problem solving and negotiation among colleagues, in addition to adaptability in a new context that is different from the usual setting of a familiar business office. Also of great value is the initiative’s social contribution which will allow children, faced with the daily difficulty of nourishing themselves, to receive a supply of meals for themselves and their families. Today was "good for the heart" of those who prepared meals and of those who will receive them.
The Menarini employee team was engaged in a context that metaphorically represented a complex company where planning carefully, working with high-quality standards and distributing on a capillary level are activities for which it is strategic and essential to work together and effectively communicate among colleagues. All for one and one for all.
