The Menarini Group continues to increase its investments in Italy and abroad. The Italian pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Florence has recently inaugurated several new buildings at its Berlin-based company, Berlin Chemie- Menarini. The five new structures, some built ex novo and others renovated, represent an investment of €60 million over a total area of 14,000 square meters.
The new locations include: a company canteen which can seat up to 250 people and serve 650 meals a day; a pharmaceutical department dedicated to workers with disabilities which houses not only the manufacturing area, but also spaces designed for socializing and recreation for 35 employees and 5 assistants; a second access to the premises which includes a reception desk and shipping and receiving area; a new Quality Control building with 80 employees that will centralize all the company's quality control activities; a Technical Services building that will host the various workshops dedicated to the maintenance and support of the manufacturing processes accommodating 40 people.

Berlin Chemie – Menarini, located in the German capital, is one of the company's worldwide locations acquired by Menarini in 1992 and represents the Italian pharmaceutical group’s continuous expansion in Germany and the most important countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Caucasia. Thanks to these affiliates the Menarini Group is now present in more than 130 countries around the world.
"2016 was a year of major investments for the Menarini Group," commented Lucia Aleotti and Alberto Giovanni Aleotti, respectively President and Vice President of the Menarini Group.
"We are a company with an Italian heart and an increasingly international vision. This is demonstrated by our recent investments in Italy for VaxYnethic and Lodichem, respectively in the fields of vaccines and the manufacturing of pharmaceutical active ingredients, together with our renovation and expansion project of Berlin Chemie - Menarini. One of our objectives since 1992, year in which this previously state-owned company was acquired, has been to work with highly experienced local management of the German market to whom we also conveyed the Italian entrepreneurial vision geared towards internationalization."
