Dr. Stefano Papa Appointed Executive Board Member of Berlin-Chemie AG responsible for Technical Operations

Berlin, December 18th, 2024 – The Supervisory Board of Berlin-Chemie AG has appointed Dr. Stefano Papa to the Executive Board, effective December 4th, 2024. He will oversee Technical Operations, which includes production, quality management, supply chain, and engineering. Dr. Papa succeeds Dr. Christian Matschke, who left the company at the end of November 2024 to pursue new professional opportunities.

Dr. Papa, currently Corporate Production Director at the Menarini Group, brings extensive experience in pharmaceutical operations, having held leadership roles at Menarini – Von Heyden in Dresden and other major pharmaceutical companies. He holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

“We are pleased to welcome Stefano Papa to the Executive Board to lead Technical Operations,” said Dr. Luca Lastrucci, CEO of Berlin-Chemie AG. “His expertise will support a smooth transition and strengthen our capabilities in production, quality, and supply chain strategies.” Dr. Lastrucci also expressed his gratitude to Dr. Matschke for his significant contributions over the past decade, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
