Ibuprofen suspension – exemption to ensure supply to the population
Delivery of goods with foreign packaging launched in Germany
In order to ensure the supply of medicines to the population, the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) may grant exemptions from certain provisions of the German Medicines Act (AMG) in individual cases. Such an exemption has been granted for ibuprofen-containing suspensions from BERLIN-CHEMIE AG, which will be marketed on the basis of this approval from January 2, 2023. The BfArM has published details on its website:
The drugs were originally produced for foreign markets and correspond to the finished drugs approved in Germany
EUDORLIN Ibuprofen 20 mg/ml oral suspension or
EUDORLIN Ibuprofen 40 mg/ml oral suspension.
This measure does not affect supplies to the product's original destination country, Ukraine, and has no impact on Ukrainian patients' access to this medicine.
Due to the special circumstances, the medicines will be delivered in their original condition. The German package inserts are included with each delivery and can also be accessed via the QR codes and links below.
