Environmental Protection
We take the conservation of resources and the avoidance of environmental pollution in the manufacture of our medicinal products seriously and are committed to the continuous improvement of our management systems and our environmental and energy-related performance. We utilise a wide range of opportunities to save energy, for example by procuring energy-efficient products and services. Unavoidable waste generated during the production of our pharmaceuticals is separated by type at the point of origin and disposed of in an organised manner.
Renewable electricity at the Berlin site
Manufacturing pharmaceutical products requires a lot of energy. To protect the environment and the climate, since 2019 we have purchased 100% certified renewable electricity.
Raising internal awareness
Our employees are involved in key HSE and energy issues and environmental awareness is promoted. Through training, newsletters, topic-specific surveys and other forms of communication, all employees are motivated to ensure compliance with these important issues in all activities and processes in their immediate work environment and beyond.
